Dr. Warren Zahner started our practice in 1977 with a simple philosophy: to provide high-quality dentistry to his community in a kind and caring manner and a comforting environment. He practiced with integrity– treating friends, family, and new patients as he wished to be treated himself. Over a 40+ year career, his brand of compassionate dentistry earned him a busy practice with adoring staff and dedicated patients, many of whom have come to Zahner Dental for the majority of their lives. His example of clinical skill and caring manner was passed on to his sons, Dr. Jonathan and Dr. Shawn, who had the privilege of working alongside their father until his passing in 2023.
Dr. Jonathan and Dr. Shawn strive to honor their father’s legacy by continuing those relationships and serving the community they love with the same philosophy their father developed all those years ago. For five decades, the doctors at Zahner Dental have made an art out of getting to know people, making them feel comfortable , and helping them attain the strong, attractive smiles they deserve.

Zahner Dental is proud to be owned by two dentists who live in the Ellington community and cherish the people in it. Dr. Jonathan and Dr. Shawn work hard to keep Zahner Dental independent, flexible, and authentic. They stand behind their work, and “being their own boss” allows them to maintain the integrity that has been a core value of Zahner Dental since the beginning.

Dentistry has come a long way since Zahner Dental was founded, and the doctors continue to update their education, techniques, and equipment to provide the best of modern dentistry with old-fashioned customer service. We are able to provide one-visit crowns with CEREC, capture 3D X-rays with a CBCT scanner, offer complete implant dentistry from start to finish, and much more right here in our Ellington office. We are always looking forward and are ready to evolve to deliver an even better experience.
