- Cosmetic recontouring of the gum line
- Exposing healthy tooth structure for more successful restorative work/impressions
- Removing a piece of oral tissue for biopsy
- Frenectomies
KOR Professional Teeth Whitening
Today, KOR is widely recognized as one of the world’s most effective teeth whitening systems, providing phenomenal in-office and take-home results that can even benefit teeth stained by tetracycline (often found in certain medications). Here in Ellington, our team’s goal is to help you feel secure and self-confident about your smile once more.
Gallileos 3D Cone Beam Imaging
3D imaging moves a big step beyond the traditional 2D X-rays that are already a vital part of dental diagnosis, creating a comprehensive understanding of your teeth and related facial structures from every possible angle. The GALILEOS technology generates the image in just seconds, providing exceptionally high resolutions with the lowest level of radiation possible for added patient safety. The information it provides will eliminate the guesswork as we plan your dental implant surgical placement or endodontic (root canal) procedure. By understanding where the sinuses, delicate nerve endings, and important areas are, our doctors can ensure precise and safe care and even minimize any procedural discomfort.
CEREC® Same-Day Dentistry
Instead of having to wait multiple appointments to receive a new, custom dental crown or other restoration, patients in need can have their work completed in record time with state-of-the-art CEREC technology. Our doctors can complete every step of this important process – from gathering impressions to designing the finished product to the final placement – right here in-house, which gives us more control when it comes to ensuring that the size, color, and fit are ideal for your unique smile. Our milling chamber even has two units, which means the permanent restoration can be precisely sculpted at an even more convenient pace.
CEREC offers patients several great benefits, including the elimination of traditionally “goopy” impression materials and uncomfortable temporary restorations. You’ll be able to walk in with distinct dental damage or decay and walk out with a greatly improved tooth!
All-Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays provide significant improvements over the traditional film model, including eliminating slow darkroom development and greatly reducing potentially unsafe exposure to radiation. There’s virtually no waiting involved – the photos are instantly uploaded to our computer system once they’re captured, and patients and doctors can view the results together. The X-rays can even be magnified and color-coded! If your chosen insurance company or an outside doctor needs the information, transfers are simple and fast as well.
Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral cameras help our patients become much more involved in the planning of their dental treatment from the very beginning. Once comfortably inserted into the mouth, the camera-tipped wand captures high-resolution images of your unique smile and transfers them to a convenient monitor for viewing. Up on the screen, patients can see the reality of their teeth and oral tissues firsthand, and our doctors can more clearly explain areas of damage and the results of recommended care.
