For many adults and teenagers, it can feel like you have missed your chance to have a beautifully straight smile. At Zahner Dental, our doctors and staff members in providing you with dental treatments that pair effectiveness and ease, giving you the results you’ve dreamed of with minimal to zero discomfort. That’s why we are happy to offer Invisalign, a service that straightens your smile in a way that’s virtually unnoticeable!
The Invisalign Process
Invisalign treatment is simple – it consists of a set of clear, comfortable plastic aligners that are custom made by the Invisalign lab to match detailed digital impressions (no goopy stuff!) our staff will take of your teeth. Each aligner represents a different stage that your teeth will go through as they move into their ideal alignment. All our patients have to do is wear each one for around two weeks before moving to the next aligner. We’ll also ask that you attend a brief check-up at Zahner Dental every six to ten weeks so that we can ensure that your progress is going smoothly. While treatment time for Invisalign varies from patient to patient, most cases finish after 12 to 18 months – a significantly shorter span than traditional metal braces, which can often take two or more years.
There are several benefits to choosing Invisalign treatment:
- The aligners are clear and close fitting, making them nearly invisible to those around you.
- Because the treatment is removable, you won’t have to make any inconvenient changes to your diet or oral health routine.
- Do you have a big event coming up where you need to look your absolute best? No problem – It’s perfectly all right to pop out your Invisalign aligner for a few hours while you enjoy your special night. Just make sure to put it back in afterwards!
Don’t feel like you have to suffer through traditional metal braces in order to get the look you’ve always wanted. For patients with mild to moderate dental misalignments, Invisalign can transform smiles easily and seamlessly. Contact our office in Ellington, CT today to schedule a consultation.
